As a QA Engineer (gn), you will ensure the stability and performance of our platform, especially on low-performance devices. You will develop and integrate QA processes that enable us to identify and resolve technical issues before they reach our customers.

Our application process is currently completely location-independent.

We offer you the opportunity to fully join us from the beginning and bring in your expertise. After your onboarding, you will be responsible for your own tasks. If you have any questions, we will of course always be there to help you. At sofatutor, it is also particularly important to us that we work transparently and give each other regular feedback.

In addition, you can look forward to the following benefits:

  • Mobile benefits, such as subsidies for public transportation tickets (BVG ticket in Berlin, Deutschlandticket / German Ticket Job) or a "Swapfiets" bicycle in many big German cities

  • Fitness benefits, such as a gym or urban sports club membership, which offer you (also digitally) a healthy change from your daily work routine

  • Mental Health Benefits, as free access of the online platform "Bloom", which gives you access to individual counseling and many different masterclasses

Your Mission

In your day-to-day work as a QA Engineer (gn), you will ensure that our platform remains stable and performant, especially on low-performance devices. You will develop practical solutions to identify technical issues at an early stage and work closely with your team to establish and continuously improve the entire QA process. You will have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas and work with an experienced team on a new and exciting product.

Here is an overview of what you will be doing:

  • Perform manual testing on a variety of devices to ensure platform stability and performance.

  • Reproduce and classify bugs to best support developers in finding the right solutions

  • Develop and integrate a comprehensive QA process into the release workflow.

Your Profile

Do you enjoy testing software and have an eye for detail? Perfect!

We are looking for someone who is both curious and goal-oriented, with extensive experience in mobile application testing. You have a hands-on mentality and enjoy working in a structured way.

These are the requirements at a glance:

  • Several years of experience in testing mobile applications, especially on iOS and Android.

  • Knowledge of QA process design, bug reproduction and test execution.

  • Familiarity with bug tracking and monitoring tools such as Sentry, Bugsnag and Scout.

  • Focus on performance optimisation, especially on low-performance devices.

  • Hands-on mentality and ability to establish long-term QA processes.

Do you see yourself in these points and are you interested in helping to shape the future of digital learning? Then we look forward to receiving your application – even if you may not (yet) be able to meet all the requirements.
