As Senior CRO Specialist (gn), you drive growth by optimizing conversions across the user journey through strategic A/B testing. Join our remote-friendly EdTech team.

About the job

Drive data-informed growth and customer experience optimization.

We’re looking for a Senior CRO Specialist (gn) to join our Product Growth Team and help drive one of sofatutor’s most important goals: turning more parents into customers who trust us to support their children’s learning journey. In this role, your work will have a direct and measurable impact on the company’s success. By designing and running smart, strategic A/B tests, you’ll help increase user acquisition, activation, and retention across our subscription-based learning products. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, developers, data analysts, and senior leadership to uncover high-potential growth opportunities and turn insights into real results.

📍 100% remote | ⏳ 40h/week

Our Promise

At our company, you’ll step into a dynamic role with direct business impact — your experiments shape how we acquire customers, activate them within our product, and keep them engaged over the long term. You'll have the opportunity to sharpen your CRO skills, bring your strategic thinking to life across multiple domains, and dive deep into data-driven growth work.

You'll work cross-functionally with product, design, development, and senior leadership — and play an active role in shaping our high-velocity testing culture. Our open and collaborative environment gives you the space to contribute your own ideas, try out bold new approaches, and grow with us.

  • Rapid development – Benefit from regular feedback, data-driven learning loops, and the chance to grow alongside experienced specialists in Product, Growth, and Experimentation.

  • Freedom to innovate – Your tests drive real business impact, and you’ll have the autonomy to explore new concepts and put them into action quickly.

  • Flexible working – Our remote-first approach enables you to work from wherever you're most productive while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

  • A strong team culture – Join engaging virtual and in-person team events that strengthen connection and foster collaboration.

Our Benefits

  • Mobility: Subsidies for public transportation (e.g. Deutschlandticket Job) or bike subscriptions (Swapfiets).

  • Health & well-being: Contributions to fitness memberships or Urban Sports Club, plus free access to our mental health platform “Bloom.”

  • Discounts: Access to partner benefits via FutureBens and Corporate Benefits.

  • Learning perks: Friends & Family discounts on all our digital learning products.

We are committed to creating an inclusive, respectful work environment where people of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities are welcomed and supported. We encourage applications even if not all criteria are met — we value growth potential and learning mindset.

Your Mission

  • End-to-end experimentation ownership: Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of A/B tests that improve conversion and customer experience across the entire user journey.

  • Strategic and fast-paced hypothesis testing: Develop and structure experiment series to validate broader hypotheses and long-term growth levers, rather than one-off optimizations — as well as drive testing velocity by identifying quick-win opportunities, streamlining processes, and fostering a culture of rapid experimentation.

  • Data analysis and insight generation: Work closely with data analysts to identify patterns in behavioral and transactional data and translate them into actionable strategies.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Align closely with product managers, designers, and developers, as well as our Principal CRO and CEO, to shape experimentation priorities.

  • Conceptual focus: Concentrate on high-impact, conceptual work — execution support is provided by dedicated design, data, and operations resources.

Your Profile

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in conversion rate optimization, growth, product management, or customer lifecycle roles — preferably within a subscription-based business model.

  • A strong track record of designing and executing experiments that have resulted in measurable business outcomes (e.g., increased conversion rates, improved activation or retention).

  • Experience working in high-velocity testing environments and a drive to continuously improve experimentation speed without sacrificing quality or learning value.

  • Advanced analytical capabilities with hands-on experience interpreting quantitative data from platforms such as Amplitude, Google Analytics, or Power BI.

  • Strong conceptual thinking, with the ability to structure and prioritize experiments around strategic growth objectives.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present insights and strategies clearly to stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.

  • Experience with A/B testing tools (e.g. Convert, Optimizely), wireframing software (e.g. Figma), and agile project tools (e.g. Shortcut).

  • A good eye for design and experience translating ideas into clear wireframes.

  • Strong English language skills (written and spoken)

  • Preferred qualifications (not required): German language skills to better understand customer needs in DACH markets.
