(Senior) Agile Coach (gn)

At sofatutor, you will work on an online platform that enables over one million students to learn through play with videos, exercises, and learning materials, and you will shape the future of digital learning and teaching together with us. As an Agile Coach (gn), you will be responsible for fostering and improving agile practices across our teams. In close cooperation with experts from Product and Tech, you will guide and support teams in adopting and refining agile methodologies, ensuring efficient and effective collaboration.

Our application process is completely location independent. For this job it is nevertheless important that you can be in the office in Berlin (at least once per month) and would like to stay in Berlin in the long term. Your Mission

In the role as a (Senior) Agile Coach (gn), you will be instrumental in strengthening agile practices across the company. You will work with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Developers, Designers, and Researchers to foster agility, efficiency, and alignment with business goals. Through coaching, mentoring, and data-driven methodologies, you will help teams continuously improve their ways of working.
Here is an overview of your scope of work:

• Driving Agile Excellence: Supporting multiple teams and leadership in applying agile methodologies effectively, ensuring alignment with business and product goals.

• Scaling Agility: Advising on and implementing agile scaling methodologies within larger organizational structures, optimizing cross-team collaboration.

• Mentoring & Coaching: Guiding Engineering Managers and Product Managers in optimizing their processes, flow, and delivery performance.

• Data-Driven Improvements: Utilizing agile metrics such as SPACE and DORA to assess team performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement measurable improvements.

• Bridging Agile & Project Management: Ensuring smooth collaboration between agile teams and overarching project or program management frameworks to align with product roadmaps.

You are an experienced Agile Coach (gn) passionate about driving meaningful change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. With a deep understanding of agile frameworks and team dynamics, you thrive in a fast-paced, digital environment and can navigate complex organizational structures.
This is what we are looking for:

• Multiple years of experience as an Agile Coach or Agile Transformation Manager, ideally in an (online) software company.

• Deep knowledge of agile methodologies across teams and organizations, including agile scaling frameworks.

• Experience in mentoring leaders such as Engineering Managers and Product Managers in agile ways of working.

• A strong grasp of agile metrics (e.g., SPACE/DORA) and their role in driving continuous improvement.

• Understanding of project and program management and how it interfaces with agile practices.
